Lauren Frankel is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Willig, Williams & Davidson, where she focuses her practice on employee benefits law. As an employee benefits lawyer, Lauren advises public and private sector single and multi-employer pension and health and welfare funds on a full range of benefits issues. Lauren also has represented Plan trustees in negotiations of repayment arrangements for the benefit plans, collections of unpaid fringe benefit contributions, and litigation in federal court.
Lauren’s experience with organized labor extends beyond her professional career in law. Years before she entered law school, Lauren worked extensively with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) in Philadelphia, New York City, and upstate New York. Lauren organized field operations, mobilized volunteers for lobbying efforts, and helped facilitate union elections. She later interned with SEIU’s legal department, where she drafted comments on proposed changes to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and facilitated numerous other legal issues for the union.
While still in law school, Lauren represented clients in unemployment insurance hearings through the Poverty Law Clinic.
