Sharon Steingard focuses her practice on estate planning and the preparation of wills and estates, trusts, powers of attorney and living wills. She represents clients in estate administration and other matters before the Register of Wills and in Orphan’s Court. She has appeared on behalf of clients in trial courts in Philadelphia and surrounding counties and has successfully argued before the Commonwealth, Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania.
Sharon has provided legal services to members of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers since 1979 and has represented thousands of union members who enjoy the benefit of a pre-paid legal services plan. She considers it a privilege to assist workers and other individuals who, without prepaid legal services, might lack access to quality legal representation. Sharon consistently strives to be accessible to clients and to make complicated matters as understandable as possible.
In addition to representing workers and other individuals, Sharon serves as an arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Sharon is a frequent lecturer who regularly presents to groups such as the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 13.
WHAT INSPIRES ME ABOUT MY WORK
"I have provided legal services to union members for the last 40 years. I am inspired to provide quality legal representation to individuals who might otherwise be unable to afford legal representation. It is what I enjoy most about the practice of law."
AWAY FROM WORK
"My greatest passion outside of the office is travel. I have been fortunate to be able to travel, not only in the United States, but throughout Europe, South America and Asia. I also like to cook. I make a mean brisket and an awesome chicken cacciatore.”
