Pennsylvania Labor Attorney Irwin Aronson Speaks about Pennsylvania Labor Issues and News on The Rick Smith Show

February 22, 2012

Pennsylvania labor and employment law attorney and Willig, Williams & Davidson Partner Irwin W. Aronson was interviewed on the Feb. 22, 2012 edition of The Rick Smith Show, “Where Working People Come to Talk.” In this segment of the show,  host Rick Smith and Aronson discuss the nearly $300,000 Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) fine on Hershey Foods packaging facility operator, Excel, for its intentional serial misrepresentations and failures to report serious work-related injuries and accidents. The Pennsylvania labor lawyer noted that the Hershey contractor was found to have intentionally failed to report 43 percent of its serious injuries which is in violation of federal workplace safety requirements.

The interview also focused on a brief history of U.S. labor law related to secondary boycotts and employee free speech rights, in the context of an employer-imposed lockout of workers in a workplace relations contract dispute.
