Cultural Differences in the Workplace: How Religious, Ethnic Other Differences and Practices Impact a WorkplaceDecember 9, 2009 Panel presentation reviewing the law of workplace discrimination, and a discussion of how diversity issues arise in the workplace and practical approaches to resolving disputes involving those issues in a unionized work setting. The discussion addressed a variety of issues including concerns about employer and/or union responsibility and potential liability, as well as balancing the sometimes competing interests of co-workers in ensuring protection against discrimination while ensuring fair enforcement of the collective bargaining agreement.
