Workers' Compensation Attorney Michael G. Dryden Addresses Fireman's Legislative Federation of PennsylvaniaMarch 21, 2012
Philadelphia workers’ compensation lawyer Michael G. Dryden, of the Pennsylvania labor union and employment law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson, presented “Cancer Presumption / Workers Compensation and You” to volunteer firefighters and other emergency responders during the Fireman’s Legislative Federation of Pennsylvania quarterly meeting in March. Dryden’s presentation addressed occupational disease claims and volunteer firefighters, including cases under Pennsylvania’s new firefighter cancer presumption law.
The Fireman’s Legislative Federation seminar was held at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Camp Hill, Pa., free of charge to Pennsylvania emergency responders. Attendees included firefighters and EMS responders from volunteer fire companies throughout the state. A Pennsylvania attorney who frequently represents firefighters and the PA Fire and Emergency Services Institute in workers’ comp and Heart & Lung Act matters, Dryden reviewed the PA Workers’ Compensation Act as it applies to occupational disease claims brought by volunteer firefighters, assisting emergency responders in understanding the protections that Pennsylvania law provides to them.
