Employment Law Attorney Ryan Hancock Speaks at the Bloomberg BNA ‘Labor & Employment Legal Webinar’

On Sept. 17, 2015, Ryan Allen Hancock will present at the Bloomberg BNA Labor & Employment Legal Webinar on intern wage matters and criminal and credit based background checks as counsel for employees.

Hancock specifically addressed the Second Circuit’s recent decisions in Glatt v. Fox Searchlight Pictures and Wang v. Hearst Corp. in which the Court adopted the “primary beneficiary test” in order to determine if unpaid interns are employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Further, Hancock discussed employers’ obligations when conducting criminal background checks under the Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Information Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Philadelphia’s Fair Practices Ordinance.
