Partner Jessica Caggiano Discusses Medical Marijuana Issues with PA LERA

Labor attorney Jessica Caggiano recently participated in a panel discussion entitled “Medical Marijuana: A Follow-Up,” presented by the Central PA chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA). The discussion focused on the challenges unions and workers face when navigating the legality of marijuana use under federal and state laws. The panel also covered the key points of the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Act and the protections it offers against employee discrimination. The April 5, 2022 program was held virtually.

LERA offers networking and development opportunities for professionals interested in all aspects of labor and employment relations. The Central PA chapter meets on the first Tuesday of the month, six times a year, for dinner and a program.

Caggiano concentrates her practice on labor law, advocating for union and worker rights through arbitrations, contract bargaining and litigation for public and private sector unions. She speaks frequently on topics such as workplace discrimination, social media use in the workplace, and labor and employment laws that affect the workplace.
