Willig, Williams & Davidson Attorney Discusses Employee Benefits Fiduciary Litigation

Details: Employee benefits lawyer James S. Beall will present during the 71st Annual Employee Benefits Conference, hosted by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. The presentation is titled “Attorneys: Employee Benefits Fiduciary Litigation Update.”

Beall will discuss the recent trends in fiduciary litigations filed against plans and fiduciaries and how the allegations in these lawsuits can shape the legal advice given to fiduciaries to mitigate the litigation risk. He will address Pharmacy Benefits Manager, excessive fee, pension risk transfer, and forfeiture cases.

A partner at Willig, Williams & Davidson, Beall is known for his skill in representing a wide variety of public and private-sector single and multiemployer funds on comprehensive employee benefit and tax matters. His work focuses on the firm’s joint labor-management pension and welfare fund clients, as well as its labor union clients. He offers counsel and guidance to help ensure that union benefit plans are as well funded and secure as possible.
