Details: Labor attorney Jordan Konell will serve as the keynote speaker for the Regional Orchestra Players Association (ROPA) Conference, a gathering for members of union orchestras across the country. At this event, orchestra players will network and share valuable information for working musicians.

Konell focuses his law practice on labor law to fight for the rights of workers to be paid fairly and treated with respect. His work has included the representation of a wide range of workers in the arts and culture sector, including the musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.

ROPA is a conference of the American Federation of Musicians, the largest organization in the world representing professional instrumental musicians playing in orchestras, bands, clubs, and theater. Its purpose is to promote the interests of member orchestras and their musicians, enhance communications among those orchestras and with the Federation, and pursue the general welfare and artistic well-being of its members. Formed in 1984, ROPA represents nearly 90 orchestras and more than 6000 musicians in North America.
