Details: Labor attorney Jessica C. Caggiano will participate in a discussion about the latest developments at the National Relations Board (NLRB) during the New Jersey Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (NJLERA)’s February 2025 Meeting. She will be joined by James La Rocca of Hunton Andrews Kurth, LLP, David Leach, adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School, and arbitrator-mediator Dean L. Burrell.

The discussion will focus on the impact of the incoming presidential administration on the NLRB and initiatives of the outgoing general counsel. Participants will provide an overview of pending changes to the NLRB’s election rules and procedures, as well as its decisions regarding settlement agreements, non-compete agreements, investigations, confidentiality, and work rules in union and non-union settlements. The session will also focus on the impact of the Third Circuit’s Starbucks decision rejecting expanded remedies granted by the NLRB in Thryve.

A partner at Willig, Williams & Davidson, Caggiano concentrates her practice on labor law, advocating for union and worker rights. Her work includes handling labor arbitrations, contract bargaining, and litigation for public and private sector unions. She also offers ongoing advice, training, and presentations on a variety of topics including the rights of workers who lawfully use cannabis, social media use in the workplace, wage equity, and grievances and labor arbitration.
