Willig, Williams & Davidson Labor Attorney to Discuss Pay Equality at #FollowFriday Conference

Jessica C. Caggiano will discuss a broad range of issues surrounding the gender pay gap

Date: March 8, 2023

Location: The Drexelbrook Event Center, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania

Details: Labor attorney Jessica C. Caggiano will participate in a Fireside Chat on the topic of “Pay Equality” at the #FollowFriday Conference moderated by Gina Passarella, Editor-in-Chief of Global Legal Brands. Caggiano will discuss the issues surrounding the gender pay gap, pay equity, and broader socio-economic issues facing professional women.

Her discussion will also focus on the pay equity issues involved in the National Women’s Soccer League Players Association’s fight for better pay in their first collective bargaining agreement – a fight that Caggiano worked on in 2021 and 2022 with firm Managing Partner Deborah R. Willig and labor attorney Larry Goodman.

The #FollowFriday Conference focuses on current, former, and aspiring professional women and offers opportunities to meet and network with women from a variety of industries and career paths.

Caggiano is a partner at the law firm of Willig, Williams & Davidson, whose commitment to creating an inclusive workplace is reflected in the leadership of the firm, one-half of whom represent racial, gender, ethnic and LGBT diversity. A union-side labor lawyer focused on workers’ rights, Caggiano has received accolades for her work as an advisor and an advocate for unions and the workers they represent in contract negotiations and bargaining, the grievance and arbitration process, before state and federal administrative agencies, and in labor litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she served as in-house counsel at the New York State Public Employees Federation and as associate staff counsel at the Pennsylvania State Education Association.

Caggiano’s clients include unions representing bargaining units comprised of both private and public-sector workers. She speaks frequently on topics such as wage equity, social media use in the workplace, medical marijuana and employment, and traditional labor topics.
