What Pennsylvania Employees Need to Know About Medical Marijuana
In the six years since the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Act (MMA) was passed, courts and practitioners continue to grapple with the extent to which the legislation protects workers who lawfully use medical marijuana. While marijuana is still an illegal, controlled substance under federal law, the MMA provides certain protections for Pennsylvania workers who hold a medical marijuana card.

Richard Poulson Speaks at National Arbitrators Conference

Partner Richard Poulson recently spoke at the National Academy of Arbitrators annual conference. The panel discussion, “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in Practice,” focused on unions’ and employers’ commitments to DE&I and how it has affected their operations. As general counsel to many public-safety unions, Poulson negotiates and enforces strong collective bargaining agreements.
