Michelle Devitt Named President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association

PHILADELPHIA (August 2025) – Philadelphia labor, employment, workers’ compensation, and family law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson is pleased to announce that partner Michelle “Micky” Devitt has been chosen to serve as president of the Philadelphia chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA), an organization for professionals in industrial relations and human resources. Having previously served as a LERA board member, Devitt will lead the chapter through summer 2026.

“I am honored to serve LERA as president and facilitate the exchange of vital ideas and information about labor, employment, and the workplace,” said Devitt. “This organization is committed to keeping working people and employers updated on the latest developments in workers’ rights and labor and employment law. Knowing the landscape is essential to ensuring fair and safe working environments for everyone.”

Devitt has deep experience in labor law, gained during years of work advocating on behalf of workers’ rights, voting rights and poverty relief, as well as serving as an attorney for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for more than a decade. She speaks and writes frequently about the current political forces arrayed against working families, including most recently in articles in Fortune and Forbes magazines.

LERA offers networking and development opportunities for professionals interested in all aspects of labor and employment relations. It is a nonprofit organization that encourages research in labor, employment, and the workplace, including employer and employee organization, human resources, labor markets, income security, and other related fields.
