Willig, Williams & Davidson Welcomes New Family Law Attorney

Attorney Elizabeth Deegan joins labor and employment firm to assist workers with family law matters

PHILADELPHIA (May 2019) – Philadelphia labor, employment, and workers’ compensation law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson is pleased to announce that attorney Elizabeth I. Deegan has joined the firm. She focuses her practice on family law, including child custody, divorce, child support establishment and modification, equitable distribution of assets and debts, domestic violence issues, grandparent’s rights, adoptions, name changes and relocation issues.

Deegan started her career as a certified legal intern at Philadelphia Legal Assistance, where she helped low-income people navigate domestic violence, protection from abuse, and custody matters. After graduating from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, she began focusing her practice on working with union members in all aspects of family law issues.

“Family law matters are sensitive, personal issues, and I work to alleviate my clients’ stress during what is often a very turbulent time in their lives,” said Deegan. “By helping clients reach a resolution of their matter, I can help them regain some much-needed peace.”

Active in her community, Deegan continues to volunteer with Philadelphia Legal Assistance. She also has developed a pro bono practice that helps transgender individuals with name changes in Philadelphia.

Deegan earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in 2011 from King’s College in her hometown of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She lives in West Philadelphia.
