Ty Parks is dedicated to harnessing the power of the law to help workers and unions build power, create equitable workplaces, and enforce their fundamental workplace rights. At Willig, Williams & Davidson, Ty’s practice includes both labor and employment law, representing unions and their members, as well as individual workers.
Ty earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. While there, he participated in various legal clinics that helped indigent clients navigate the justice system. As a third-year law student, he was chosen to serve as a Littleton Fellow, acting as a teaching assistant and mentor for first-year students. He also is proud to have achieved second runner-up in the National Black Law Student Association’s Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition. Upon graduation, Ty received the M.H. Goldstein Memorial Prize for the highest grade in Labor Law and the Herman Lazarus Prize for the best paper in comparative Employment or Labor Law.
Outside of school, Ty interned for the Public Interest Law Center, the American Civil Liberties Union’s Criminal Law Reform Project, and Community Legal Services as a Peggy Browning Fellow in its employment unit. Following law school, he clerked in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Ty served as a law clerk and summer associate with Willig, Williams & Davidson before joining the firm as an associate.
A West Philly native, Ty loves the city of Philadelphia and its workers. He stands with working families and fights tirelessly for their dignity, safety, and well-being.
