Lauren Hoye
A partner in Willig, Williams & Davidson’s labor department, Lauren M. Hoye represents labor unions and individual employees before state and federal courts and in arbitrations, negotiations and administrative proceedings. Lauren also regularly provides counseling and training to her clients on public and private sector labor law, as well as employment law and employment disputes.
Lauren’s commitment to representing employees began as a law student in the University of Pittsburgh Unemployment Compensation Practicum at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. As a law student, Lauren advocated for indigent unemployed workers in Western Pennsylvania, representing them at their unemployment compensation hearings and pursuing their cases to the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. She continues to practice in the areas of unemployment compensation law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Lauren has served as a speaker and/or instructor for the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board and Bureau of Mediation, the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee, and the Labor and Employment Relations Association, as well as other organizations. She has spoken on topics ranging from legal ethics, to social media, to practical skills training.
Lauren serves as an arbitrator in the compulsory arbitration program of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas. She is a proud volunteer with the Support Center for Child Advocates, representing abused children in the child welfare system. Since 2014, Lauren has been selected by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star,” an honor awarded to no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys practicing law in Pennsylvania.
