Willig, Williams & Davidson Attorney Stuart Davidson Co-Authors Chapter of Employee Discrimination Legal Guide

Attorney Stuart W. Davidson of Pennsylvania labor and employment law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson has co-authored a chapter of an employee discrimination legal guide titled, Inside the Minds: Representing Employees in Discrimination Cases.

Within the book, Davidson addresess the topic of “Determining Employment Discrimination Case Merits under State and Federal Law” and provide practical information useful in achieving successful results for employees in discrimination case matters. Specifically, the labor and employment law attorney explains the most commonly litigated federal employment discrimination laws, the types of conduct the laws proscribe, the types of employers to whom the laws apply and how to evaluate a potential plaintiff’s case under these laws. Davidson, a named partner with Willig, Williams & Davidson, has represented labor unions and employee benefit plans for nearly three decades. His work for public and private-sector unions includes leading contract negotiations, presenting interest and grievance arbitrations, representing employee benefit funds and advising clients on internal union matters. Davidson has also played key roles in the development of new and progressive benefit structures with the pension, health and welfare plans he represents.

In addition to serving as chief counsel to large regional and local unions along the East and Gulf coasts, Davidson is a frequent lecturer, teacher and author on such issues as ERISA, fiduciary responsibilities, labor law, employment discrimination, OSHA matters, drug and alcohol testing and other labor and employment concerns. A dedicated member of his community, he has been a commissioner of the Delaware River Port Authority; member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans’ Attorneys Committee; and member of the board of trustees of The Johns Hopkins University. Davidson is currently vice chair of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners and chairman of the board of the American Friends of the Yitzhak Rabin Center. He has also received the Jewish Labor Committee’s Humanitarian Award.
